Give me doom Give me gloom Give me every dour face in the room I'm not a shade I'm a blade I'm a pinpoint of rage passing through If it means anything If it means anything You will share the stage and sing Give me blame Give me shame At the end of the day it's the same I am not hate I'm a state I'm a form of matter to tame If it means anything If it means anything You will share the stage and sing Give me a shove Give me love Any little feeling is enough Iced over care Melts to air The potential for change always there If it means anything If it means anything You will share the stage and sing

Alpha Boys 05:37
Alpha boys trophy boys The morning light has teeth and shines on skin so tan Alpha bares his fangs alpha has a plan Nature oh he wants it naked in its arms And he'll tear right through using all his charm But the unknown factor the tragedy displayed Is what nature gives nature takes away Keep your engine clean Methamphetamine Posing with a weapon cock a gun to kill Sex is offered like a threat but alpha never will Veins run through the meat then down into the land He'll try to control but he'll never understand Alpha is a trophy boy locked in his golden age Apollo marching blindly off the mythic stage He has a hundred names He doesn't feel pain No matter what you do The little boy will not be tamed What will he do to keep it false hope of his station Alpha has a plan but no imagination Smell it on his clothes desperate for class Gather up the golden stags decaying en masse Severed head upon the wall brutality on view Domination on display do you wish it was you
3.
How great for you How fabulous This world's for you The rest of us Are witnesses You share your crusts Of knowledge With the rest of us How great for you How tremendous How lucky too You are as such These air kisses Cause such a fuss Inside the hearts Of the rest of us Could you just for a moment consider Your considerable power And try to hold it with grace How hard for you How labourious Remember when You were glorious But promises Take a toll on us And they bring you down With the rest of us You're such a little tyrant
4.
The Prince 04:47
Another precipice of change The prince of unrequited love Is on the streets again A thirst for knowledge is not enough To make a solid decision He's in a state of flux A one way attraction mistakes lust for love He's not the one he's thinking of Be a delicate boy be an elegant boy Another principle has changed The prince of unrequited love Reviews the words again When did this push become a shove When did the rules change The need is not enough If he had his way he would stay the same He's the only one he's thinking of Be a delicate boy be an elegant boy Invention Invitation Incantation
5.
Queen Dream 04:33
Queen Dream On the scene Makes a move Is everything Everything you want a Queen to be Queen Dream Queen Dream On the scene Purple prose from Movie screens Thighs that butter Wouldn't melt between Queen Dream Oh what a privilege to be The most glamourous leaf On the family tree Moving through life like mercury Queen Dream Queen Dream Queen Dream On the scene A shower of glitter Fantastic debris A false eyelash of A fantasy Queen Dream
6.
The bones of a king in the trunk of a car Picture now A life in relief A curvature A disbelief A wind through a tree a discarded leaf That wind could carry you far What makes a man Is it a body A remainder An idea Of a leader She has these bones And they discuss Some say truth Some in disgust Reject her findings And now mistrust So much mistrust What makes a man
7.
Threat 04:11
Every kiss a threat Every hit a kiss Every man an enemy For this girl on a list Eventually She will come to see An end to the pain that leads to the length of an arm tied off An end to the pain that leads to the length of a life cut off Every kiss a threat Every hit a kiss Every girl must be a razorwire Throughout all of this Eventually She will come to see An end to the pain that leads to the length of an arm tied off An end to the pain that leads to the length of a life cut off And every man will understand If you tear her down into the land Another thorn grows in the whip of her furies Within the bones an echo aches And when they're found it resonates Another thorn grows on the whip of her furies And this world's not his
8.
Dragon 06:21
He wrapped around you like a dragon And held the bones of the past Away from your family tree Prayed for your victory So you bake those bones in a loaf of bread And you swallow them all down instead You weren't forcefed Truth that grows old under the heat of his breath He has smothered your tale to death He wrapped around you like a dragon And held a wing against The wind that cut his teeth And holds your sweet relief But you know that yours Is a brief respite And you keep that secret tight To stay in all night He'll take you under his wing And you'll forget everything You're gold You're gold You're gold
9.
Words as whispers MEN Took all the choice From their sisters' Thin wire of a voice Hands that blister Digging for a resolution But I can't mine What I can't find The glass of a chill The ghost of a thrill And the way that we left it Open ended One's perdition Hides beneath the clothes Some suspicion But nobody knows Brothers listen Please take off your robes You can't mine What you can't find
10.
You wonder if the old boys Allow high heels in heaven They're wearing golden gowns They've passed down and down forever And you wonder if the old boys Know you're watching out your window You're taking it all in again Taking it all in again Their horrors aren't so clever If we could just remember The secrets of the bedroom Are the sacred vows you keep Recording in your diary The thoughts are going deep There's a certain something That keeps running through your head The golden light is fading And your heroes are all dead Maybe you're an angel Rutting here upon the earth A savage entertainment For the refined and their works Gathered in the round Delivered on a train A swirl of skirts undignified Are spinning in your brain You grant forgiveness For every sin more or less But who guards the gates my dear When you're the perpetrator

about

man
noun, plural men.
an adult male person, as distinguished from a boy or a woman.
a member of the species Homo sapiens or all the members of this species collectively, without regard to sex:prehistoric man.
the human individual as representing the species, without reference to sex; the human race; humankind:Man hopes for peace, but prepares for war.
verb (used with object), manned, manning.
to furnish with men, as for service or defense.
to take one's place for service, as at a gun or post:to man the ramparts.

No one needs to hear from a man. Everyone has heard enough. I’m typing hyper-aware of this truth. I am aware of the privilege I hold presenting as a white male, yet I’m left with a constant need to communicate. So, maybe the answer is turning the camera outwards, to take some snapshots of the conversations happening around me. The songs I’ve been assembling over the past 7 years are a voyeuristic look into worlds in which I have had access, from that place of privilege, from circumstance, luck of the draw. The words that came turned me by my chin, and I looked out.

My new album is called MAN.

Part clinical terminology, part exasperation. I’m looking at trauma, and at terror. I’m looking at beauty, and at the dissolving genders. I’m looking at religion, and I’m looking at establishment. I’m looking at fear, and at love. This turned out to be my queer manifesto without my knowing. Sometimes it just works out that way.
